Responsibilities
Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking an DevOps Engineer to work for our company.
Summary
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated engagement kit deployment.
  • Manage source control and code repositories for infrastructure configurations.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources.
  • Enhance kit capabilities through automation and optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with architects and administrators to streamline deployment processes.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting and performance optimization during active operations.
  • Maintain version control and change management processes.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual effort.
  • Ensure consistency and repeatability across engagement kit deployments.
  • Participate in security hardening and compliance automation efforts.

Requirements
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or High School diploma and 7+ years of directly relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or software engineering roles.
  • Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and APIs.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
Preferences
  • Desired Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certification.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS).
  • Knowledge of security automation and compliance-as-code.
  • Experience supporting operational or mission-critical environments.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Background in software development or systems engineering.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
